PRESS RELEASE: NRA-PVF Endorses Janice McGeachin for Lieutenant Governor

Idaho Falls, ID (September 18, 2018) – The National Rifle Association’s Political Victory Fund endorses Janice McGeachin for Lieutenant Governor.

NRA-PVF Chairman Chris W. Cox said, “On behalf of our six million members across the country, I am pleased to announce your ‘A’ rating and endorsement in the November election for lieutenant governor. This endorsement is a reflection of your proven record of support for our Second Amendment freedoms.

“Your strong commitment to protecting the constitutional rights of law-abiding Idahoans is evident through your service in the state legislature. Specifically, as a State Representative, you voted for Idaho’s critical state preemption statute, which prevents ant-gun localities from passing ordinances that restrict Second Amendment rights. In addition, we appreciate your opposition to efforts to ban commonly owned firearms and ammunition.

“Congratulations on your ‘A’ rating and endorsement and thank you for your consistent support of the Second Amendment. We deeply appreciate your strong defense of our right to keep and bear arms and our freedom. Good luck with your campaign, and we look forward to our continued relationship to advance and protect the rights of Idaho’s law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen.”

“I am honored to have the support of the NRA in this critical election,” said McGeachin. “Idaho is a state which has a long history of supporting gun rights, but today we face a renewed threat as progressives are working overtime to subvert our rights and to infringe upon the freedoms recognized and guaranteed by the Second Amendment and by our Idaho State Constitution, Article 1, Section 11. I remain unwaveringly committed to defending and upholding our rights and to keeping Idaho conservative.”
