  • Sponsored bipartisan H583 (2006) Expungement of Criminal Records to protect the constitutional due process rights for wrongfully accused Idahoans.
  • Sponsored bipartisan H618 (2006) Health Care Facility Infection Reporting in an effort to improve conditions in healthcare facilities and reduce healthcare costs.
  • Sponsored H665 (2006) Idaho Health Insurance T.R.U.T.H. Act to include the reporting of certain information to help Idahoans make better purchasing decisions.
  • Enacted H248 (2007) Women’s Right to View to give a mother the right to view an ultrasound image of her unborn child.
  • Sponsored H122 (2007) Direct Billing for Anatomic Pathology Services in an effort to reduce health care costs for Idahoans.
  • 2008 – Endorsed by National Rifle Association.
  • Enacted H185 (2009) Midwifery Practice Act to preserve the rights of families to delivery their children in a setting of their choice, to provide for additional maternity care options, protect public health, and assure quality care.
  • Fought against crony and corrupt Idaho Education Network that cost Idahoans $40m.
  • 2010-2012 – Served as Chair, House Health & Welfare Committee.
  • 2010 – Took the lead as the only legislator willing to take on Medicaid costs in a meaningful way and recognized $20m in Medicaid costs after the 2008 recession.
  • 2010 – Voted against Common Core in Idaho.
  • 2012 – Conducted an extensive study of the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), successfully delaying its implementation in Idaho.
  • 2017 – Co-signed a letter of support, along with 52 sitting and former lawmakers, to the US Department of Justice, advocating for the Due Process rights of wrongfully convicted Idahoan Eric Parker, a Political Prisoner of the Obama Administration.

Executive Accomplishments

  • 2018 – Endorsed by National Rifle Association.
  • 2018 – Endorsed by Dick Heller (D.C. v. Heller).
  • 2019 – Sworn in as Idaho Lieutenant Governor.
  • 2019 – Wrote a letter of support to the US Department of Justice, advocating for the Due Process rights of wrongfully convicted and incarcerated Idahoan Todd Engel, a Political Prisoner of the Obama Administration.
  • 2019 – Chaired the Regional Committee on Government Efficiencies established by Executive Order to identify waste in state government. (We analyzed the ‘State Agencies Facilities Report’ and recognized opportunities to maximize efficiencies; created digital map of state owned or leased properties to allow for more analytical examination and decision making; recommended agency relocations to Chinden Campus; strengthened statutes regarding the terms of building construction and codes; established pilot project for car rental for state agencies.)
  • Recommended Idaho Guardsman Rodriqo Cortez to become an Army Aviator, which was crucial for his acceptance into the program.
  • Helped a mother regain custody of her daughter after custody had been breached by CPS.
  • 2020 – Served on the Coronavirus Financial Advisory Committee and advocated for state sovereignty, limited government, and ensuring that state procurement laws were followed.
  • 2020 – Helped adjudicate hundreds of Idahoans’ unresolved unemployment claims resulting from Gov. Little’s business closures.
  • 2020 – Placed a phone call to the Texas AG’s Office to inquire about joining with their lawsuit.
  • 2020 – Wrote a letter to Idaho AG, specifically requesting Idaho join the Texas lawsuit.
  • 2020 – Wrote a letter to Gov. Little, specifically requesting Idaho challenge the unconstitutional administration of the 2020 Presidential Election.
  • 2020 – Successfully filed Amicus Brief in support of Trump and state election sovereignty.
  • 2021 – Established weekly Capitol Clarity Sessions to keep Idahoans aware and engaged.
  • 2021 – Hosted weekly Capitol Clarity Radio on 670 KBOI in the Treasure Valley.
  • 2021 – Established Education Task Force to identify and prevent anti-American teachings in education.
